Science (STEM)

The Science Department is committed to developing scientifically literate students by engaging them in inquiry-based investigations, collaborative discussions, real-world phenomena, and the use of digital tools and laboratory technologies.  Our curriculum aligns with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), emphasizing three-dimensional learning through the integration of science and engineering practices, crosscutting concepts, and disciplinary core ideas.  Students learn to think critically, analyze and interpret data, and construct evidence-based explanations that prepare them to navigate a rapidly evolving, science-driven world.

All grade 11 students will participate in the NGSS assessment, which measures their ability to apply scientific concepts and practices across Earth & Space Science, Life Science, and Physical Science.
