SAE - Supervised Agriculture Experience
A Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) is an entrepreneurial or work-based learning experience related to your career interest & goals. It is year-round, lead by you - the student - and supervised by your agricultural education instructor.
Supervised Agricultural Experience consists of projects or enterprises within the Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources (AFNR) career pathways where you apply agricultural skills and knowledge taught in the classroom to real-world experiences.
Your SAE is one of the best ways to control what you learn, do and earn. For many SAEs, there is potential to earn cash, awards and recognition in your community, your state and nationally.
ASTE Students learn about SAE during their freshmen year and need to have a project established by June. SAE is a graded and credit-bearing part of your Agricultural experience
