YOUTH EQUITY SQUAD

  • What is the Youth Equity Squad?

The Youth Equity Squad (YES) is a student-led organization designed to build culture, celebrate diversity, and promote equitable change at RHS. Within YES, student members find a place to belong without judgment--where they can share their stories through weekly meetings and monthly initiatives. As common bonds are built, RHS YES is equipped to spread hope and understanding through educational, multimedia platforms.

  • What does the Youth Equity Squad do?

Our mission is to spark equitable change in our school through different media platforms, events and outreach. Here are a few things our members are involved on:

  • Student-led presentations on diversity and awareness.

  • Black History Month Assembly

  • RHS Culture Day

  • Podcast (Click to access our Equity Podcast on YouTube!)

  • Prayer room

  • Represent various cultural holidays and important events through school-wide announcements, bulletin boards, slideshows, Instagram posts, etc.

  • Hispanic Heritage Month, Native American Heritage Month, Black History Month, Women’s Day, Three Kings Day, Hanukkah, Diwali, Day of the Dead, and others.
