  1. Student news:  Follow the link below to access this week’s RHS Student News.  The link will be active by the end of school today.

  2. Panorama student survey:  Share the link below with your Advisory students (Google Classroom, email or post on whiteboard) so they can complete the district Panorama survey.  They will need a charged Chromebook or access to a device.

They’ll be prompted to enter their access code, which is their LASID. This will take them directly to their unique survey.

March 11th Advisory

9th Grade Advisories

Behavior/Attendance/Grades form:

  • All freshmen should open Aspen and complete the Behavior/Grades/Attendance Form. This will indicate whether they have successfully met the criteria for the next incentive, Bingo Bash! All students will learn their eligibility from their English teacher on Thursday or Friday this week.

10th Grade Advisories

  • Using progress report grades, complete the attached academic check in.

11th Grade Advisories

NGSS Preparation:  The NGSS Assessment is mandatory for all 11th grade students and will be held on 4/23 during Block 2.

  • Click the hyperlink to display the infographic and review the information, stressing the importance of this test.

  • Have students join the Google Classroom: wypdcacw

  • Have students read the Welcome post on the stream of the Google Classroom and explore the resources under the Classwork tab.

  • Have students complete the NGSS Question-of-the-Day (QOD) posted on the stream of the Google Classroom.

Advisory Future Planning Survey:  We are working to improve the experience in Advisory for students and teachers next year.  If students and teachers could take a few minutes to complete this brief survey below to help inform our work.

 9th Grade Advisories: The Legacy Post It

We are aiming for the students to follow the statement Work Hard, Play Hard, Own It, that shows Rockville's pride and culture. These sticky notes will also benefit their understanding of the Vision of a Graduate by having students think about their accomplishments and what is next to come.  All necessary materials have been put in your mailboxes.

 Yellow Sticky Notes = What you have accomplished so far!

  • Example.. “I passed all of my midterms with an 80 or above”

Blue Sticky Notes = What legacy do you want to leave behind?/ How will you accomplish this?

  • Example.. “I want to leave the legacy of …”

  • “I will benefit my RHS community by…”

10th Grade Advisories

  • The LMC needs all 10th grade students to respond to this brief survey about how students are using the LMC and technology/apps/software that is available to them.
