VCMS Art Spotlight! "EPOCH Art and Photo & Film class went to the New Britain Museum of American Art today. While there we participated in Gaining S.T.E.A.M.: How do artists use the design process to create art? In this STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) focused tour, students were asked to consider how artists have used problem solving, reasoning, and logic in their artistic processes. For the studio activity, students used problem-solving skills to execute a unique design from inception to creation. The second half of the day was spent in Walnut Hill park on a photography scavenger hunt. Students were asked to take specific photographs of their surroundings which included symmetrical, vertical, horizontal, and frame within a frame compositions. These photographs will be shared with the VCMS community on the video monitors throughout the school. This trip was fully grant funded from the NBMAA."

Tomorrow is the day! Yearbooks will be handed out to all students tha have purchesed the yearbooks online or in-person. Still need to get yours? We have a few left! Online sales are STILL open and yearbook purchases are for all grades (6, 7, and 8). You can also purchase them during eagle times or lunch waves today and tomorrow.

It's that time of year again! Please have your student check lost and found this week. All unclaimed items will be donated or thrown out by Friday, June 18th.
Students are also cleaning out their lockers, so all clothes, items will be coming home this week.
