Rockville High School is hosting a Festival of Bands on Saturday, Oct. 18 beginning at 6 p.m. Gates open at 5 p.m. at the Rockville High School football field.
Marching bands from 10 Connecticut high schools will compete and two bands, Rockville High School and Central Connecticut State University, will perform but not participate in the competition.
“Competitions like Festival of Bands are a great opportunity to watch and hear outstanding bands showcase months of hard work,” Rockville High School Director of Bands Raymond Sinclair said. “The bands coming to our event are among the best in New England.”
Festival of Bands is one of the largest events Rockville High School hosts each year, said Pamela Rizzo, the RHS Band Boosters president. In addition to incredible musical performances, there will be food and raffles, she said.
The event also needs volunteers and if you’d like to help out, click here.
