🚒 Today the Vernon Fire Department visited Northeast School to teach our K–2 students all about fire safety! 🔥👩🚒 Students learned the importance of knowing their full name, address, and when to call 911 in an emergency. 🌿 Our 4th graders had an adventure at Belding Wildlife Management Area today! They built their own streams to prevent erosion, explored how forests change over time, and even made some daddy long leg friends. What a beautiful day of hands-on learning in nature! 🌞🕷️🌲

The Attendance Challenge Paid Off! 🎉 Thanks to our awesome students and families, attendance soared from 88% to 94% this year, that’s a solid A in our Attendance book! 📈👏 To celebrate, students with 17 or fewer absences got to enjoy a bouncy slide during the school day on Friday. But the fun didn’t stop there… 🎪 In true Northeast School spirit, Dr. Greene made sure everyone had a chance to bounce by bringing the slide to our Family Carnival Night too! This all-inclusive resort adventure has been a beloved Northeast tradition for decades, even before Dr. Greene’s time as principal! 😮 From pool time and sports tournaments to cooperative games, a DJ dance party and an all-you-can-eat buffet. It’s the ultimate way for our 5th graders to celebrate the end of the year.

Field Day Fun at Northeast School! ☀️
It was a hot and sweaty day full of laughter, movement, and memories! Parachute games, jumprope, Gaga ball, relay races, water fun, and so much more! Our students gave it their all. 🍧 We cooled off with popsicles and ended the day with a heartwarming slideshow of memories from the year. One student said it best: “This was the best day of my life!” 💙
