Our third graders took over the Connecticut Science Center today and WOW, did they explore! Building, testing, and trying everything in sight! Hands-on learning at its absolute best! A great experience for our curious scientists. 🧪🧠✨#NortheastPride 🦁

We unleashed the 67th day of school and the students went WILD 🦁 Our surprise 6-7 Spirit Day absolutely took over the school! From the GIANT “6–7” in the cafeteria to teachers rocking the most creative outfits, the energy was unreal. The 6-7 activities and excitement had the students losing their minds (in the best way)! NES Staff coming through with the top-tier chaos and charm once again. Teachers having fun. Kids having fun. #Northeast67Pride. 6️⃣7️⃣ 🦁 ✨

Our Northeast School Roaring Robotics Team had an exciting day at the First Lego League East of the River Tournament! They competed against 21 teams and shared their innovation project, robot design, coding skills, and gracious professionalism. While they didn’t bring home an award this time, they gained valuable knowledge about archaeology, especially bronze disease, improved their coding skills, and strengthened their teamwork. Mrs. Champagne and Mrs. Morrow are very proud of all their hard work and dedication! A special thankyou to Mrs. Champagne and Mrs. Morrow for their continued effort and leadership on this journey. ✈️ Fourth Grade Takes Flight! ✈️ Our 4th graders had an amazing day at the New England Air Museum! They explored real aircraft, sat in airplane cockpits, learned all about the science of flight, and even created their own airplanes. It was a day full of soaring curiosity! 🚀 #NortheastPride 🦁

✨ Proud Moment at Northeast! ✨ On Monday night, two of our 5th graders were recognized for their outstanding leadership and dedication at the Board of Education meeting. They were honored with the Superintendent’s Award, and we couldn’t be more proud of our role models! 🌟

🎉 Northeast School Store Is Open for Business! Our young 5th Grade entrepreneurs have officially opened the Northeast School Store! From 25¢ treasures to $3.00 favorites, there’s something for everyone. The store will be open most Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30–8:45 AM before school! As they raise money for their end-of-year Boston trip, our 5th graders are also learning real-world skills like marketing, communication, money management, supply & demand, and profit. We are proud of our future business leaders! 💰 📊 🛍️

🏅Watch out Team USA! Northeast PE has officially transformed into an Olympic-like Gymnastics Training Facility! For the next few weeks, students will be tumbling, balancing, and climbing their way through the Wedge Mat, Spring Board, Balance Beam, Obstacle Course & Cargo Net! Coach Maxwell will keep raising the bar as our future gymnasts master each new skill! 🤸‍♂️✨

🚌✨ Our Northeast 5th graders stepped back in time on their field trip to Sturbridge Village! They experienced life from years gone by. They tried carding wool, churning butter, and even sitting in an old-fashioned schoolhouse desk. Students couldn’t help but notice how different life was then compared to today. They learned so much by experiencing history hands-on! 🕰️📚 #NortheastPride 🦁

Northeast School 5th graders showed incredible sportsmanship during recess kickball! They played fair, followed the rules, and didn’t need any adults to referee. They managed the game all on their own! The Miracle Field’s beautiful turf inspires pride and respect. When students are proud of their space, they rise to the occasion! #recess #NortheastPride 🦁

🎃 The playground turned into a pumpkin patch paradise this crisp fall morning! 🍂 Kindergarteners had a blast dancing, playing games, and picking the perfect pumpkin to take home. Each student had a photo shoot at the Fall Pumpkin display! Kindergarten Parents, stay tuned for your special surprise! 🌳🍂 The “big lollipop tree” on our recess playground has been teaching us something special this fall. Week by week, students have watched its colors shift from bright green to blazing yellow orange. A sweet reminder from our favorite tree that time is moving, and we’re growing right along with it. 🍁💛

Today, the Vision Van visited our school! Over the next few days, 59 students will be seen by an optometrist. If a student needs glasses, they’ll receive a prescription and have the opportunity to choose frames for their free pair of glasses.
