After 13 incredible years as the heart and soul of Northeast School, we say goodbye to our beloved principal, Dr. Greene, as she heads off  to begin her well-earned retirement.

Dr. Greene was so much more than a principal, she was the pulse of our school. Every morning, she greeted students with music at the door, knowing not just faces, but every name and every parent, too. She was funny, firm but fair, and always made decisions with one thing in mind: what was best for the students.

From hosting joyful dance parties for deserving kids, to playing in the legendary 5th Grade vs. Staff kickball game, to narrowly avoiding the infamous Thanksgiving Top Turkey costume each year by strategically out-donating the competition, Dr. Greene’s leadership was always full of heart (and a lot of humor). She even called the buses at dismissal like a seasoned Delta gate agent, making the kids feel like going home was an exciting destination.

She supported and coached her teachers, sometimes literally, like during after-school pickleball matches! She was always quick to troubleshoot a technology issue. Dr. Greene lived by a simple but powerful motto: “Work hard and be nice.”

Dr. Greene, you have left an indelible mark on Northeast School. We will miss your energy, your dedication, and your spirit. Thank you for everything, and enjoy your next chapter!
