This morning LSS staff was treated to a special, made to order, omelet bar breakfast cooked by our very own Chef Sav. We are ready to crack open a brand-new year full of learning, laughter, and egg-citement! Shoutout to our special guest appearances, Dr. Hills-Papetti, Melissa Trantolo, and Jennifer Cowles!

All of us at Lake Street School can't wait to see everyone on Thursday for our first day of school!

Yesterday our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders enjoyed an action-packed Field Day filled with teamwork, friendly competition, laughter, and lots of school spirit! From relay races to exciting games, students gave it their all while making memories with their classmates. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success!

Today our Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders enjoyed a fun-filled Field Day packed with exciting activities, big smiles, laughter, and lots of teamwork! From games and challenges to time spent cheering on friends, students had a wonderful day staying active and making memories with their classmates. A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered to make today so amazing!

We are excited to celebrate our amazing fifth graders as they prepare for their next chapter! Lake Street School is rolling into summer with a Family Fun Night on May, 22nd! We’re looking for raffle basket donations by grade-level themes to help make the night extra special! Donations can be sent into school with your child or dropped off at the main office by Wednesday, May 20. Thank you for helping us create a fun-filled evening for our LSS families!

Day 4 of Teacher Appreciation Week was all about keeping our staff refreshed and recharged! Today’s PTO-sponsored “Hydration Station” was a HUGE hit at LSS! Staff members got to mix up fun flavored waters, add sweet treats and toppings, and enjoy a refreshing break during the school day. There were so many delicious combinations to try!

Day two...Build Your Own Coffee Bar! So many options to help keep us all energized for our busy teacher schedules!

Day one of our PTO sponsored Teacher Appreciation Week goodies! A gigantic thank you to our PTO and Craft Pizza for the delicious pizza and salad lunch!

Happy National Principals' Day to Ms. Duenzl! Thank you for everything you do each day to keep LSS running smoothly and to support our students and staff. We appreciate your leadership and all the time you put into making our school a great place to learn.

Today we celebrated School Lunch Hero Day by showering two very special members of our school family with love — Miss Trish and Miss Kass! Every single day, they serve up more than just meals… they bring smiles, kindness, and so much care to our students and staff. From warm greetings in the lunch line to making sure everyone is fed and happy, they truly are heroes in our building!

Our LSS yearbooks are now on sale!

Spring break might be over, but our kindergarteners jumped right back into learning today as they launched their Planting Seeds of Reading unit! Students set up their very own “greenhouses” talked about what plants need to grow, and began their lima bean plant observation journal! Stay tuned as they grow their knowledge and plants!
