Thanks to grant funding, the CT Science Center visited 5th grade classes today for a lesson and experiment with the 4 major spheres (Geosphere, Biosphere, Hydrosphere, and Atmosphere). This lesson expanded on one of the primary units of Science students have been learning about all year.

Today at LSS, students and staff rocked their blackout spirit wear and enjoyed some cozy flashlight reading around the school. There’s something extra magical about reading a good book in the dark!

100 days of learning, growth, friends, and so much more! Students and staff celebrated the 100th day of school last Friday. Check out these awesome outfits, activities, and smiles.










Tomorrow is the 100th day of school! Join us for some 100th day fun and dress up as a "100 year old" or wear a 100th day shirt!

Monday morning, our first graders came into school and made their early morning prediction about whether or not the groundhog would see his shadow! We wish our first grader's early spring prediction came true.






Last night, The Connecticut Association of Schools proudly hosted the Annual Elementary Celebration of the Arts. Lake Street proudly celebrated our incredible Fifth Graders, Brody and Audrey!
Selected by their teachers, these students were recognized for their outstanding ability in the performing and visual arts. We are so proud of them!

What a night at the LSS Wolf Pack game! Our students shined as they sang on the Jumbotron, tossed teddy bears onto the ice for CCMC, and cheered on the Wolf Pack alongside family and friends. Thank you to everyone who came out to make it such a fun and memorable evening!










Red & White Spirit Day was a hit! ❤️🤍 Students & staff rocked it in our school colors today and filled the halls with so much pride, excitement, and big smiles. We love seeing our school spirit shine!

Our PTO is kicking off 2026 with a new fundraiser. Physical flyers went home with students this week! Orders will be delivered February 4 which come in before Super Bowl & March Madness.
