From the CRS PTO: Join us at 6:30 in the Center Road library for the first meeting of 2026 today, January 15th. We will be reviewing events for the months ahead and will also have some samples of items from "What a Crock" (our February fundraiser) for you to try! Volunteers from RHS will be present to do activities and crafts with any kiddos that would like to come along!

If you are in grades 1-4 at CRS, we want you to join us in the 2-4-1 program with Ms Steed! This is a before school program where we play different games/sports, find our top-self, shout out our peers and more! The doors open at 7:15 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings. 5th grade students can also join as PLP's who help the other students.

On Monday two fifth grade students, Tyler and Claire, were recognized for receiving the Superintendent award for our school. Each day they demonstrate what it means to be a Center Road School student and a Vernon Public School student. These two are hardworking, kind, respectful, and the epitome of a remarkable roadrunner. We can't wait to see what they accomplish in the rest of their time here at CRS & beyond! Congratulations!

We kicked off the before school 2-4-1 program with Ms Steed today. We talk about thinking on purpose with our top self & play a variety of sports. Life is 2 short 4 just 1 sport!

Did you know it's Socktober? We are collecting clean pairs of socks to be donated to local homeless shelters by a current Vernon Public Schools student! You can bring in socks until November 7.

We were lucky to have the football team come back this year for their annual visit with the awesome addition of the cheer team! It is the highlight of the year for many. They have a game this Friday & would love to see some CRS students there 🏈
After learning about apples, CRS kindergarteners had a perfect Fall field trip to Auer Farm! They enjoyed a hayride, picked and pressed apples, and saw animals like goats, chickens, bunnies, and even alpacas and a pig!
