We started this lovely Friday with our first whole school assembly! Shout out to our hosts, the Remarkable Roadrunners of the week, and our 5th graders who led the school song! 🎉🥳

Families - as a reminder there is no school tomorrow November 4, 2025. We will see you all back at school on 11/5!

Did you know it's Socktober? We are collecting clean pairs of socks to be donated to local homeless shelters by a current Vernon Public Schools student! You can bring in socks until November 7.

We were lucky to have the football team come back this year for their annual visit with the awesome addition of the cheer team! It is the highlight of the year for many. They have a game this Friday & would love to see some CRS students there 🏈

After learning about apples, CRS kindergarteners had a perfect Fall field trip to Auer Farm! They enjoyed a hayride, picked and pressed apples, and saw animals like goats, chickens, bunnies, and even alpacas and a pig!

Kindergarten was lucky to have a visitor from the Vernon Police Department come and read to them. They learned different things and had so much fun 📚🚔

Today we had the graduating seniors come visit Center Road School & had our Kindergarten concert. A full circle kind of moment that shows the students where they can go & where it all begins. We are so happy to have a new group finishing kindergarten and an old group finishing high school. As we always say, once a road runner - always a road runner! Yesterday we had our annual Show Your Stuff talent show. There were over 70 students/acts that auditioned which is the most we have ever had & 25 acts that got to perform at the show. We are so proud of every student who had the courage to audition & for those that got up on stage. The art is almost all done being set up for the art show tonight! We hope to see you all here between 6:15-7:30 to view all the amazing art work from students at CRS.

Our Farm to School program served up samples of Three Sisters Soup featuring locally grown butternut squash! This hearty dish honors the Indigenous "Three Sisters Planting Method" of growing corn, beans, and squash together—a practice that nourishes both the land and our students. Did your student try it?
