Special Education
Special Education courses and program selection are based on recommendations made at a student’s Planning and Placement Team Meeting (PPT) and outlined in an Individual Education Plan (IEP). Programming is designed to assist identified students who require specialized instruction and/or social, emotional, or behavioral support to receive educational benefit and successfully prepare for post-graduate opportunities.
Moving from one level of a special education course (designated by * at the end of the course name) to another, or from special education to a general education course, is a Planning and Placement Team (PPT) decision and part of a student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
