Family and Consumer Sciences

Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) courses provides all students with:

  • Culinary and Baking Courses in commercial-style kitchen
  • Early Childhood Courses with a community preschool program
  • Dual credit in Early Childhood, Baking and Principles of Food Preparation (articulated with Manchester Community College)
  • Courses meet vocational credit for high school graduation
  • Courses prepare students for college and career readiness

A Career Cluster is also available in Early Childhood by completing a series of mandatory and elective courses, job shadowing and portfolio preparation.

A Community Nursery School is run by the students in the Child Development and Childhood Education classes.
