Art

In art, students focus on expressing their ideas by using the principles and elements of art. Some of the elements of art include: line, color, and value. The principles of art include ideas like balance, contrast and pattern. Students also spend time learning about different cultures, famous artists from the past as well as the present. This year students will be creating both two-dimensional and three-dimensional art. Every month, there will be a featured Artist of the Month for each grade and their artwork will be posted on a bulletin board across from the gymnasium. Artists of the Month are students that show tremendous effort, talent and excellent behavior. Please join us at the end of year for the Northeast School Art Show and see the creative pieces of art the students have worked hard on during the year!
