Student Climate
Center Road School fosters a positive, inclusive school climate. Relationships are at the heart of our approach. We create strong connections with students and families through relationship building and communication. All students are taught social-emotional skills and school wide behavioral expectations. More individualized interventions are available to those who need them. We support students in demonstrating our core values of being Caring, Responsible, and Safe.

Trauma Informed Practices
A strengths-based framework grounded in an understanding of and responsiveness to the impact of trauma that emphasizes physical, psychological, and emotional safety for everyone.

Multi-tiered System of Support
Positive Behavior Supports are utilized to support an academic learning environment. Key features include Schoolwide Core Values, Schoolwide-Expectations, and Tiered Interventions (ex. Lunch bunch, daily check-ins, movement breaks).

Social Emotional Curriculum
Second Step Curriculum is taught weekly in PreK - 5th grade. It is a research-based social emotional learning curriculum.
