~A Message From The Special Education Team~

Special education teachers at Center Road School often work with a variety of students across grade levels. Students are supported within the general education classrooms as well as in resource rooms. Special education teachers teach students using a variety of instructional approaches including co-teaching, small groups, and one-to-one instruction. They assist students in developing strategies for becoming better readers by improving decoding, encoding and comprehension skills as well as improving math abilities. Technology is used to reinforce reading, writing and math skills as well. Children are also provided instruction and support to develop their behavioral and social skills. The CRS special education teachers share a common goal…to have all students consider themselves as capable learners with unlimited potential!
